Prenatal Education Opportunities
During pregnancy, many prospective parents have questions regarding pregnancy, childbirth, caring for their newborn, and parenting. Attending prenatal classes is one method where pregnant women and families can gain reliable and accurate information to help understand care during pregnancy and prepare for the experiences of childbirth, breastfeeding, and caring for a newborn. Studies have shown that participating in childbirth education classes can have a beneficial effect on a mother’s experience during the birth experience. When family members also participate in classes, the mother also benefits from their support.
Due to the current COVID 19 restrictions in place, the Nash Women’s Center will be canceling ALL Childbirth and Breastfeeding Classes for APRIL and MAY 2020.
Below is an app called YoMingo that you can use for FREE access to childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care education. The app is available through June 30th, 2020. There is even a link to the CDC for COVID-19 information and pregnancy. Please follow the instructions below to register and access the YoMingo App.
In addition to having access to the app; the Nash Women’s Center would also like to provide you the book (Your Childbirth Experience) that would have been used for the childbirth classes that the YoMingo app accompanies. Books can be mailed upon request.
