During pregnancy, many prospective parents have questions regarding pregnancy, childbirth, caring for their newborn, and parenting.  Attending prenatal classes is one method where pregnant women and families can gain reliable and accurate information to help understand care during pregnancy and prepare for the experiences of childbirth, breastfeeding, and caring for a newborn. Studies have shown that participating in childbirth education classes can have a beneficial effect on a mother’s experience during the birth experience. When family members also participate in classes, the mother also benefits from their support.
