Dr. Van Zant and his wife, Melinda, have four adult children – Ariel (and husband Timmy), Tyler (and wife Morgan), Travis (and wife Julia), and Garrett – and five grandchildren. They are members of Christ Covenant Church and enjoy family camping trips, traveling, and cheering on their favorite football, soccer, and college basketball teams. Dr. Van Zant joined Nash OB-GYN Associates in 1998.

As of January 2024, Dr. Van Zant has transitioned to providing gynecology-only care. A trusted part of Nash OB-GYN since 1998, he has delivered countless babies and supported families throughout their pregnancies. While he is no longer seeing obstetric patients, Dr. Van Zant continues to offer expert gynecologic care and perform surgeries at both our office and UNC Health Nash. His dedication to women’s health remains unwavering as he continues serving Nash County and the surrounding community with compassion and excellence.
